    Making Reservations through ReserveAmerica

To make reservations for California State and National Parks, you can use Reserve America to make online reservations.  Here's  Reserve America Information (in PDF format. Right-click to download.)  You will need to register to get an user name and password. If you reserve by phone, you can make reservations for up to two sites. If you book on-line, you can only book one site at a time.

Santa Clara County Parks

The Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department is embarking on a New Camping Reservation Program for all five camping parks beginning Monday, June 10, 2002.

The new program applies to Coyote Lake, Grant, Mt. Madonna, Sanborn, Uvas Canyon and Ed Levin (youth group overnight only) and the parks’ group campsites, RV campsites, group overnight, walk-in campsites and youth group overnight.

All campsites can be reserved up to 48 hours in advance

Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance

Less than 48 hours - all campsites are first come, first served

There is a minimum two-night requirement on weekends.

Campsite reservations are site specific

To make a camping reservation, call (408) 355-2201, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm or in person from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Parks Administration Building, 298 Garden Hill Dr., Los Gatos. A non-refundable reservation fee of $6.00 will be charged for each reservation.

Boating, camping or group picnic sites can be reserved on-line by visiting www.gooutsideandplay.org

Monterey City Parks

Two group areas can be reserved for overnight youth groups of up to 100 people. Each has a large double BBQ pit for cooking, tables, and water is available. Restrooms and showers are available.. The fee for use of these areas is $4.00 per person per night. Reservations can be made at 831.646.3865.

Monterey County Parks

Monterey County has six parks available ranging from Toro Park to Laguna Seca to Lake San Antonio. Laguna Seca is the home of Mazda raceway and has a rifle and pistol range. Call 831-755-4899

PG&E Recreational Sites

For group reservations, opening and closing dates, call us at (916) 386-5164. By clicking on the PG&E link, it will take you to a webpage with more information on facilities and sites available for camping and recreation.

San Luis Obispo County

For on-line Camping Reservations at LOPEZ LAKE RECREATION AREA and other overnight campsites at SLO County Parks, http://reservations.slocountyparks.com/. For all other reservations, including Group Day Use Reservations:

Reservations are accepted one year in advance so reserve early!

Have a second and third choice of dates and sites selected.

Know if you require a Basic or Special Use reservation (see below).

Know that some locations require a vehicle entrance fee.

Have your credit card number and expiration date ready.

San Mateo County

All youth and horse group overnights, regardless of size, must make a reservation through the Administrative Office of the Parks and Recreation Department prior to the planned activity. Groups with reservation must contact the Ranger on duty at Memorial Park entrance gate for assignment to the area on the date of the activity. Sonoma County

The first Monday in November, campers may make individual campsite reservations for the entire following calendar year.  Campers may make reservations as late as 10 days prior to the planned arrival date, subject to availability.  Campers may reserve up to 2 campsites per park per visit.

Group campsites may be reserved 10 days to one year in advance of the planned arrival date and are available now for reservation.

Reservations are taken by telephone (707) 565-2267 or in person Monday through Friday, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, excluding holidays.  Reservations cannot be made online. By telephone, payment must be made with VISA® or MasterCard® only.  Cash, checks, money orders, Visa® or MasterCard® are accepted in person at 2300 County Center Drive # 120A, Santa Rosa, CA. Payment in full is due at time of booking.

Before making a reservation, have the following information ready:

  • Park(s) selected
  • Date you plan to start camping
  • Alternative park and camping date choices
  • Length of RV or number and size of tents
  • Number of people that will occupy the campsite
  • Number of nights you wish to camp
  • Your phone number with area code
  • Credit card number and expiration date
  • Mailing address
