San Jose City's Alum Rock Park is one of the oldest in the south bay. It has a road bike trail as well as mountain bike paths.
The road track here begins at Penitencia Creek Park on Jackson Avenue. The
route shown is 10 3/4 mile round trip with an elevation gain of
around 800 feet by the end of the trail in the hills.
